Over the last 15+ years, hundreds of students have been benefited from my guidance for the GMAT, the Executive Assessment, the GRE, and for MBA admissions. I take pride in their success. Success stories of some of these students are posted below and some others can be accessed by clicking on the adjoining link.
"It is funny how you became like a member of our family. I just keep saying to my parents about the assistance for the GMAT that I have been receiving from you over the last 3-months.
You have proved to be an empathetic tutor who not only knows his job but also knows how students learn. Your organization and ability to keep students disciplined with studies were wonderful! We are a great team and your study tips would continue helping me in my MBA!"
"I think as my GMAT teacher you did a commendable job because your classes were always constructive. You often asked me if I am confident enough on the topic we covered in previous lessons and gave me questions making sure I remember concepts from those lessons. Even though I asked you the same questions again, you never got frustrated but explained to me until I really understood. I improved a lot by taking your classes and owe my success to your tutoring..."
Super happy to have the score! Years of indecision, going back-and-forth about taking the GMAT. You made it look easy, Sam! Thanks for everything you have done for me!
I have received offer from both IE, Spain and Rotterdam, Netherlands. I have decided to join Rotterdam.
"I am delighted to let you know that today I received the admission offer. I will enter the school in September. Everything as we planned:) Thanks for helping me for the GMAT and conducting mock interviews to improve my confidence!"

I am very happy with my results in the GMAT. Your service was professional and sincere. I highly recommend the private tutoring approach such as yours to any test taker.
You were very naturally motivated and always eager to help. Your knowledge about the test is unmatched.
Finally I have the score. It was a tough challenge to manage full-time work, family, the preparation for the GMAT, and the application deadline within a few weeks. All this when I was getting back to studies after 8-years of professional life! You made it happen, I owe you one, Sam!

GMAT preparation is all about managing the process effectively. Since the pattern of these problems is often convoluted, preparation for this exam is different from other tests. During our lessons, I realized that Sam not only knows the GMAT inside-out, but also recognizes how a specific student learns. By anticipating what potential problems a student could face during the later stages of preparation, he plans initial lessons to overcome those and assigns suitable homework. He comes prepared to every lesson and is very patient. He will work through every problem with you and ensure you are ready to write the GMAT exam. These attributes set him apart from other tutors.

Before contacting Sam for personalized lessons, I had taken a well known GMAT course in Toronto. However, even after completing the Prep Course, following the curriculum, and spending numerous hours studying, I wasn't confident about achieving my target score on the actual GMAT.
From my first in-person meeting with Sam, I felt very comfortable and assured that my target score was attainable. Sam taught me how to study smart and created a detailed plan for me to follow. Over the next few weeks, I applied Sam's tailored study plan and witnessed consistent improvement day in day out. From our study sessions, I gained confidence in my abilities to answer difficult questions and learned many new strategies, which are not available in any books.
While the scope of the content in GMAT can be daunting, Sam follows robust processes, puts systems in place to track progress, and provides objective feedback to improve performance. His methodological approach helps in learning the concepts and tricks an intuitive way instead of getting overwhelmed.
Sam explains everything in a simple yet comprehensive way. He identifies "why" you are getting things wrong, and then teaches you "how to think." He genuinely cares for his students, and makes learning enjoyable. Sam does assign a fair bit of homework, which requires time management. Though, if you are struggling, he is always open to discuss and is very quick to respond. He values your participation, initiative, and can-do attitude during the lessons. Sam definitely holds you accountable and inspires you to work hard. As such, I was always motivated and attentive during our lessons.
Additionally, Sam has provided me with helpful insights on the admission process within the top schools in the U.S. He has also helped me shortlist top American schools based on my professional background and career aspirations. Sam's suggestions come from a wealth of experience as a number of his past students have already been admitted to MBA programs at these schools.
I am happy with the assistance that I received and recommend Sam's GMAT Prep Course.

When I was self studying for the GMAT, I never thought that I could understand the GMAT and the game plan behind it. That all changed after my first session with Sam. I started developing a structured approach to solve problems and felt good about the improvement.
My learning style requires that different concepts are explained to me gradually and build on each other. Sam quickly undertook the tutoring approach that well suited my learning style. His curriculum is well designed and the homework is adequate to gain expertise in different topics. These help me to see how inter-related different concepts are in both math and verbal. I felt that Sam well adapted to my pace of learning to introduce more difficult concepts at a later stages of our tutoring. His lessons motivated me to work harder during homework and there was a natural progression from working harder to challenging myself to do well.
Sam is a very inspirational teacher, who helps you build intuition to solve hard problems like a skilled test taker. I have seen my friends studying hard for the GMAT but not achieving the score that they want. Sam may be among the few teachers for the GMAT who has truly crossed that fuzzy effort/score divide. He teaches the concepts in a way that your efforts would help you getting the score you want.
He is a great teacher, super clear and helpful, fair-minded, non-ideological, supportive and inclusive of everyone. I recommend Sam’s lessons to anyone who is seriously studying for the GMAT.

I completed Sam’s course for the GMAT in 2016, but still have pleasant memories of those. Sam has been one of my favorite tutors. Idea man, each of his lessons are filled with interesting and open discussion. He is also friendly and approachable. Clearly loves to teach!
While searching for the tutor, I was looking for someone, who could help me plan my intensive work schedule, frequent commute, and still help me prepare well for the GMAT. During our first meeting, Sam patiently listened to my constrains and prioritized the areas to work upon. As the first step, he designed my study schedule that seem to have worked for me. Everyday, getting up at 4am to study was initially challenging, but Sam’s lessons made me feel like I am learning and am progressing in life. My curiosity to learn and Sam’s approach to gradually build concepts helped me to not feel overwhelmed with the course curriculum. Everyday, I felt motivated to study hard and felt accountable, because Sam was truly dedicated to help me succeed. He patiently answered my questions during the lessons, and gradually started challenging me with frequent quizzes to keep me disciplined.
GMAT preparation is all about balancing other commitments. For me, managing GMAT study schedule with my daily commute of over 3 hours for my full time work and family responsibilities were initially daunting. However, Sam’s understanding of the GMAT as well as my thought process helped me to be efficient with my time and study in the right direction. During my sessions with Sam, I felt that I was interacting with a friend and could discuss any problem that I was facing with the exam preparation. A quality that only a few teachers posses.
Sam expects a decent amount of homework to be done, but all this is in student’s interest. He was always well prepared for the lessons, provided lucid explanations, and established realistic targets based on my abilities. His course curriculum is detailed, covers minor aspects of the exam that are often not covered in books, and provides adequate practice to confidently answer any question in the exam.
As an additional help, while taking these lessons, I often sought Sam’s inputs on differences among schools for an MBA. Sam explained the specifics of different schools, and helped me shortlist the program that suitably catered to my needs.
Eventually, I achieved my goal to be accepted in the program that I always aspired to go. I am happy to report that I have finished my MBA from IESE Business School (University of Navarra, Spain) in 2020, and am continue to be in touch with Sam to keep him posted with my career progress.
