Before contacting Sam, I wrote the GRE once but wanted to rewrite and improve my score. Sam took care of my learning from the moment I signed up for the lessons. The lessons were conducted over several weeks, which gave me adequate time to practice the GRE content, memorize all the formulas and concepts, and learn how to solve more difficult and time-consuming problems under strict time constraints. He provided multiple sets of practice materials and tools to help me achieve my goal.
I took Sam’s assistance to prepare my grad school application for vet schools closer to the deadline. Not only Sam provided invaluable suggestions to effectively present my profile but he also emphasized stronger parts in my resume to make my application stand out.
I enjoyed the tutoring process and would recommend Sam’s lessons for the GRE preparation.

The Graduate Record Examination (the GRE) is conducted by Educational Testing Services (ETS). The GRE was initiated in 1936. It is currently offered in over 1000 test centers in over 100 countries.
Candidates interested in pursuing a master’s, specialized master’s in business, MBA, Joint Degree (JD), or a doctoral degree write the GRE General Test. The GRE General Test evaluates the skills needed to succeed in the coursework of master's, MBA, specialized business master's, and doctoral programs. While there is an option to take computer adaptive test (CAT) and paper-based test, the latter is available only in locations in which CAT is not available.
From September 22, 2023, a shorter version of the GRE is introduced. The total duration of the GRE General Test is now about 1 hour and 58 minutes. The test comprises 5 sections and no scheduled break is provided. The AWA section will always be the first section, though the remaining sections can appear in any order.
Verbal and quantitative reasoning sections of the GRE are computer-adaptive. It implies that the difficulty level of the questions in these sections adapts in real-time to a test taker’s performance in the previous question. Each section starts with a somewhat medium difficulty level question. A correct answer leads to a more difficult question, but an incorrect answer leads to an easier question.
One can return to or change answers to a previous question within a section. “Mark” and “Review” feature during the test allows a test taker to tag questions and return later. The performance in one section doesn’t impact the difficulty level of the questions presented in the next section.
The official score report including the scores in all sections of the test is available in a test takers’ ETS account in 8-1 days from the test date. The scores are reportable for five years after the test date.
Schools consider grade point average (GPA), statement of purpose, GRE score, letters of reccommendation, and research experience (if applicable to your program). Unlike GPA, GRE scores are standardized, and provide a better understanding of a candidate's academic abilities. While GPA and GRE score provide an insight on academic proficiency, statement of purpose and letters of reccommendations allow admissions committe to understand your motivation to pursue a program and assess the fit.
